Fiberglass Umbrellas
Gouda manufactures custom fiberglass umbrellas to withstand stronger winds and tougher conditions. The ribs of our fiberglass umbrellas flex in the wind and while in use, so they will return to shape without bending or breaking. We especially recommend fiberglass for our larger umbrellas with a larger span to keep those ribs from being damaged with regular use. We have road tested our fiberglass umbrellas on the streets of Seattle to prove that fiberglass is the preferred material for a durable umbrella.
Gouda has been crafting custom fiberglass umbrellas for over 20 years.
We produce frames made in all fiberglass or in a combination of materials depending on the frame style.
When you work with our design team to create your custom umbrella, we will determine the best materials to use for your project depending on a number of factors including the size of the overall umbrella.
The umbrella pictured here is one of our oversize frames and has two layers with a map on the interior layer of the umbrella. This umbrella has a fiberglass shaft and ribs to stand up to the strongest weather. If you look carefully at the ribs on this umbrella you will see from the slight curve that the ribs are made in fiberglass. The shaft also made in fiberglass is finishes black, so it looks like most of our other black frame umbrellas.
We can add any of our handles to this frame from the traditional golf grip to the curved handle you see here in wood.
This is an auto open fiberglass frame that opens with the push of one button.
