The example at the top of this page was created using silkscreen printing on one of our stock green fabrics. We created this umbrella for The New York Botanical Garden and it features their famous greenhouse. Each panel was printed separately with white line art and when sewn together it completes the image. It is a simple print, but effective for this type of concept. Whether you have a full color design or a silkscreen print, we can create an allover effect for your umbrellas.
The Process
We recommend sharing your design ideas at the start of the process, so we can confirm which method of printing will be best for your design. There really are no limits to where or how you can print on the fabric of these custom umbrellas. If you want to have your design appear in the center of the umbrella, no problem. If you want a pattern to repeat across the whole umbrella, we can do that. You can get as creative as you want with the design process.
Color
If we are printing with silkscreen we can create custom Pantone® colored ink to print your design, or if we are printing in full-color, we match to the colors of your design by printing CMYK. Our color quality is saturated through to the back of the umbrella and colorfast for years of use.
Frame Choice
All of our frame styles are chosen for their overall quality and durability. The last thing you want is your umbrella to collapse in use. We stock two styles of frames for our fastest production of umbrellas. You can choose from our popular auto open/ auto close compact frame or our full length frame with fiberglass ribs. Custom Frames
If your project calls for a custom frame, or custom handles we can make those for you to order. The production timing is a little longer if we are making customized frames, but sometimes that custom frame makes all the difference, so contact us to discuss your special frame needs.
