Why a transfer print and not silkscreen print?

Silkscreen is an effective method of printing but always best when used with solid spot colors to get bright, saturated color. Also, with silkscreen printing, since we are printing one color at a time on the fabric, there will be a limit to the number of colors we can print with silkscreen. We literally run out of print heads. Also, since each screen is a charge for each color, it may be less expensive in the end to use transfer printing.  Also, if you need to print an image with a lot of tonality or photographic representation, transfer printing is often the best way to go. The best results with smooth color transitions and details.

What about having a big square around my image?

You might be remembering transfer printing technology from the past. Our transfers now are shaped to fit your graphic, so there will be no obvious edge where you see the transfer on the fabric. In many cases, you will not be able to see the difference between a transfer print and a silkscreen print. So not to worry.

What kind of Artwork is needed to make a Transfer Print design?
