Custom Throw Blankets
We have been making top quality custom woven throw blankets for our customers for over twenty years. These blankets are made in the USA and each blanket is woven using 100% cotton yarns to create full color effects all over. These soft, cotton blankets are colorfast and washable for years of use.
The Weaving Process
Once we have your artwork we digitize the design so it can be woven on our looms. Each throw is woven using hundreds of yarns to combine visually on the finished blanket to represent the original artwork. The weaving process combines these warp and weft yarns to show only the yarns that will create the desired color effect. This process, makes it possible to reproduce almost any color. You will always see the yarn colors if you look closely, but the overall effect of the mixed yarn colors is a complete image. Each throw is made on a loom like you see in these photos here.
Artwork
Original artwork can include photographs, paintings, illustrations or graphics. We recommend starting with high resolution imagery like Photoshop or Illustrator when possible. If you need help preparing artwork for your throw project, we can help with that. Throws pictured on this page illustrate the range of artwork styles we reproduce.
Colors
The yarn colors used in our throws are designed to be woven together to capture any color of the rainbow. We can even use your Pantone color targets when weaving our throws to mix the yarns to create your color effect. All of the colors in these throws are the result of yarns being woven together to create the desired color. So, if you are looking for a solid color area in your blanket, we will weave together our yarns to get that result.
Blanket Sizes
Our custom throws are made in two popular sizes: 50″ x 60″ and 50″ x 70″.
